Matthew N. Anderson
I’m the sadist that you can bring home to Mama. I study vampires for a living. I like coffeeshops named for notorious Italian poisoners. A demon cat lives on my wall. I’m intensely tragic…
I am a graduate student at UT Austin in the Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies. That means I study Russian literature. I have been a teaching assistant for courses on the Chechen conflict and on vampires. Some favorites in the realm of literature: Byron, Wilde, Pushkin, Dante, Hugo, Lermontov. If you haven’t already, read The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov. I am a prosaist, but I like poetry better. Fountain pens and grandiloquence make me smile.
